Extra strength green polyester (PET) strapping with cardboard cores, 16mm wide x 1750 metres in length, with a 440kg brake strain. The thickness of the strap is 0.7mm. Coil weight is 23.7kg. Polyester strapping, also known as PET, is ideal for heavy duty applications and heavy-weight goods, as an alternative to steel strapping. It offers better mechanical properties than steel banding and less damage to the goods/pallets, giving it enhanced performance qualities. Polyester strapping also has a high elastic memory and retains significantly higher tension than other solutions, such as polypropylene (PP) strapping. It also has high tear resistance properties (with a brake strain of 440kg), is heatproof, UV resistant, and made from 100% recycled material making it an eco-friendly product. All 16mm polyester (PET) strapping should be used with strapping tools for polyester strapping (heavy duty 16mm sealers and tensioners), and serrated seals
